Charquini, it is a snowy located to 39 km. from La Paz city.
Charquini (5390 m.a.s.l.) belongs to Andes Royal Range, where is near to Huayna Potosi (6088 m.a.s.l.) and Chacaltaya (5400 m.a.s.l.). Its landcapes of the bolivian highplate makes a wonder place to visit, by the way there are some amazing color lagoons. Also we could appreciate some wildlife as llamas, alpacas, viscachas and some birds.

The experience leaves at 8:00 a.m. at the meeting point, then we will travel for approximately 1h30, having charming stops with incredible views of Huayna Potosi, Chacaltaya, Lake Titicaca, mining cemetery, animals and nature. Until reaching Charquini where the walk will be approximately 3 hours, this will depend on the size of the group and the speed. You will reach the Esmeralda lagoon thanks to its access. It should be noted that it is not a climb to the snow-capped mountain. After the walk we will return to the point where we got the car to be back between approximately 4:00 p.m.
